Telling A Story With Editing

There is no difference betwenn writing a book or a story and telling one with video editing. Actually

i write the video before i start the edit.

In this blog we will analyse and breakdown one of my videos to understand One of the ways to tell a story with editing.

If you want to write an essay, you have to split your idea to many parts or at least three parts (Intro, Body, Conclusion). That's exactly what i did in this video, i made six parts. 

the idea of the video is about the hero and the beast inside every human and how we can be free if we accept and acknowledge the beast inside us.

First part : The Introduction

We always start with an intro, in part one i posed the subject, which is there is a hero inside us and we all born heroes but also there is a beast in every man.

Second part : Ask the question

In part two you will ask the questions, my question here is what is it to be a hero. then ,after asking the questions you have to put answers for them. A hero isn't someone who lives above us, keeping us safe. A hero is not a god or and idea. A hero lives here on the street (among us). Now we will put a preamble for the plot by showing that there is a dark side in us (in the hero)

Third part : The Plot twist

Plots should connect with the part befor and after and they are always shocking, so in this part i put a scene that say being a hero it's only few moments, few moments doing the ugly stuff no one else will do. And here we opened for the next part which is the beast inside.

Fourth part : The beast

I started the beast part with brutal scenes and Contradictory answers to the second part by showing no regrets in killing, the cruelty and the courage to be what you want to be even if it's a monster.

Fifth part : Accepting the beast

Don't be afraid of the beast, he's you. You Don't Think you Can Beat The Beast ... Do you? Because you are the beast and the hero in the same time, you don't need to choose. The most important is accepting him.

Part six : The Conclusion

You will be free only when stop fighting the beast inside and accpet him.
